Taipei, Taiwan – August 6, 2013 – AVer (TWSE: 3669), a major global provider of presentation/education solutions, security surveillance solutions and video conferencing solutions, introduces the Rugged Series, a lineup of robust 2-megapixel and 3-megapixel IP cameras designed for operation in harsh outdoor and working environments. These durable bullets and vandal domes adhere to the industry’s strictest standards for protection against dust and water (IP68), vandalism (IK10), power surges (EN50130-4), and extreme temperatures (up to ±60°C) to provide reliable IP surveillance under the toughest conditions.
AVer’s Rugged Series IP cameras are designed to withstand extreme cold and extreme heat with wide operating temperature range, ±60°C for bullets and ±50°C for vandal domes. In addition, the cameras are outfitted with a number of useful features including built-in mechanical ICR, IR LED illuminators with adjustable strength, motorized lens, True WDR, Quick Focus, Smart Stream, and ROI (Region of Interest). The motorized lens available with selected Rugged Series models allows for remote focus and zoom adjustment (MFZ), which is especially recommended for isolated, hard-to-reach locations or unsafe project sites like tall buildings or utility poles. The remaining models are equipped with brand new Quick Focus function, which aids installers in quick and precise focus tuning. Moreover, all 3-megapixel ruggedized cameras are equipped with outstanding sensor-based True WDR technology which guarantees proper lighting contrast and image clarity when experiencing severe backlighting or glare. Like all AVer IP cameras, the Rugged Series models come bundled with NXU Lite, AVer’s free 32CH video management software (VMS), and work seamlessly with AVer’s free mobile access applications, Android Viewer and iViewer, to preview camera images remotely with iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones and tablets.
“These robust and feature-rich Rugged Series IP cameras bring us one step closer to being a leader in the IP surveillance market,” said President of AVer Information Inc. Andy Hsi. “The Rugged Series substantially enrich our surveillance product portfolio and give AVer a unique competitive edge. Besides, it showcases AVer’s innovative thought and top-grade engineering capabilities,” he added.
