Taipei, Taiwan – August 17, 2012 – AVer (TWSE: 3669), a major global provider of presentation/education solutions, security surveillance solutions and video conferencing solutions, is excited to announce the launch of the AVer IWH5416 Touch II hybrid DVR. With a quad-core processor boosting real-time HD quality images, an increased number of HDD bays and numerous external storage options to expand processing capabilities, IWH5416 fits the needs of single to multisite security projects.
AVer’s new IWH5416 Touch II hybrid DVR has a dual monitor and HDMI outputs. It is capable of up to 5 megapixels per channel in H.264, MPEG-4 or MJPEG format. The IWH5416 accommodates six SATA HDDs and supports S.M.A.R.T. monitoring to warn operators of potential hard drive failures. In addition, e-SATA, iSCSI, and USB storage ports offer further opportunities for storage expansion, video extraction and backup.
“The new IWH5416 is designed to fit the HD surveillance needs of banks and commercial complexes. It’s about perfect balance on the one hand – the quad-core power to handle full HD, 16 channels, advanced software functionality – and ease of operation and simple setup on the other hand,” said Andy Hsi, Vice President of AVer Information.
The IWH5416 was created to be simple to set-up, simple to install and easy to use. Integrated into the system is a completely new setup wizard that provides step-by-step assistance as it guides installers through the short setup procedure. Through the network configuration and camera installation bandwidth monitoring features, users can view camera streaming information at a glance. For in-store use the IWH5416 integrates with AVer’s iPOS software allowing live POS transaction information to be shown on screen and stored for later use. And AVer’s mobile monitoring software allows for remote viewing of working camera channels via iPhones, iPads, and Android devices.
One of the key concerns facing operators running medium to large surveillance systems is the large volume of material generated and the risk of missing incidents. AVer addresses this with its embedded Video Intelligence Software (IVS), an advanced system that alerts operators when particular preset conditions are met, such as additional objects, face detection and missing/suspicious object(s) detection. With IVS, responses to potential incidents is immediate and effective, while incident playback is clear, private, and secure due to IVS’s noise reduction and selectable video encryption.
