No, they don't. All the Aver USB video conferencing systems support operating systems that have plug and play functions. The UVC (USB Video Class) is natively embedded on the operating systems. For the reasons, all the functions and features of Aver USB video conferencing systems are based on the UVC /UAC standard, so user does not need to install the additional drivers.
All Aver USB video conferencing systems support plug and play function. You just plug firmly the USB cable to the computer USB port.

Basically, you cannot use remote controller to adjust FONE540 individually.

If your PC connect to CAM540 or CAM550 camera at the same time.

Launch PTZApp2 on PC and click camera's setting, 

then you can adjust volume by remote controller.

Your remote controller must be toward camera's IR cover and 

this feature is not available if using Bluetooth connection to FONE540.

For the line group setting, user can follow the method1 or mathod2 to select the AVer usb cameras on the software.

  1. Check your videoconferencing, boardcasting, and other software get the device. (For example, let's join the ZOOM meeting by using AVer's VC322.)
  2. Choice the AVer VC322 to be the main camera source in ZOOM meeting.

The resolution between USB2.0 and USB3.0 is different. USB2.0 cannot support 1920x1080 60fps, 2160x3840 30fps, but USB3.0 can.

The computer must support both plug and play and UVC (USB video class) / UAC (USB Audio Class) functions. The operating systems are as below:

  • Microsoft Windows 7/ Windows 8.1/ Windows 10
  • Apple macOS: 10.11 or higher

  1. Check that the USB cable is firmly connected
  2. USB extender and USB multiport adaptor need to be on the below operation mode.
    USB2.0=> high speed
    USB3.2=>Gen1x1 (Usb3.1 GEN1)
  3. The computer operation system supports UVC/UAC
    Windows 7and above or Apple Mac OS: 10.11 or higher
  4. Check if the USB port on your PC is USB2.0 or USB3.0.
    USB cameras cannot support USB1.0.
  5. USB Data transfer mode: Bulk/ isochronous
    We recommend that Microsoft Windows series use Bulk and Apple Mac series use isochronous.

  • 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
  • 2GB RAM or more
  • Hard drive space for recorded videos
  • 4K@30fps or 1080P@60fps require higher system configuration

Please check all software version are the latest version:

  1. PTZ App : 1.2.1046.50 (Windows) /1.2.1042.45 (Mac)
  2. VC520 : 0.0.0018.02
  3. CAM340 : v0.0.2006.06

The CAM340 and VC520 can be control by one remote.Please refer as below steps:

Step 1. Please go to AVer official website to download PTZApp.


Step 2. Plug your CAM340 and VC520 into your computer and turn on PTZApp and then you will see as below


Step 3. Go to the VC520 setting “Pick your remote control".


Step 4. Go to the VC520 setting “Change Binding" and set the VC520 to “2" and then save it.


Finally, you can control your cameras by one.

  • Button [1] is for CAM340
  • Button [2] is for VC520
